Our Peanut.

"Momma, why must you shove that camera in my face all the time?"

"I see something neat over there...so I'll smile at it, but not at you! Hehe!"

"Okay fine, I'll shoot a little grin at you...but only because I know how cute I am."

Happy Halloween.

We've shown you her costume before, but here she is on Halloween. We went to a few of our neighbor friends for "trick-or-treats" and then came home for a delicious spaghetti dinner and put our little lady bug to bed.
....and yes, she is cross eyed in one of them.

Welcome Olivia!

Madeline's little cousin (2nd cousin), Olivia, was born this past weekend. Madeline and her will certainly have some fun times together as they grow. Congratulations Elizabeth and Ang!

In addition to the last entry...

I forgot to mention in the previous entry. For Madeline's 2 month check up she weighed in at 12 lbs and is up to 23.5 inches. It has been noted that she is now in the 90th percentile, which is great news for us to hear! Dr. Joan said she couldn't be more pleased with her steady weight gain, the fact that she smiles so often and is learning how to use her voice so often...and not just when she is using it to cry.

She's a happy, healthy little girl and is perfect in every way- at least in her parents eyes she is.

Here's a trip down memory lane....

We're back!

Computer isn't sick anymore. Thank goodness. I felt as though I was cut off from the world without it. Thank you for your patience...here is an update with photos.

Here's Madie in "costume", well her Halloween costume! She is a Lady Bug...or as I like to call it, a "baby bug". On Saturday, we went to the 50th & France Pumpkin Fest. Mostly for our enjoyment of watching all the children in costume, and some adults. We are already looking forward to going next year when hopefully Madeline is walking.

The next photos are from Madie's 2 month birthday. As John mentioned in the last entry, she continues to grow every day. She "coo's" constantly, smiles a lot, and is starting to sleep better and better. Seriously, some nights she gives US the gift of rest when she sleeps from 10-4!

Hope you enjoy the photos!

Our computer is sick

As a former I.T. guy, I'm almost embarrassed by the fact that our computer has been infected by "something" unknown. I'm sure it's nothing serious, rather some spyware that found it's way to our PC, but nonetheless we are bringing the computer in to the shop tomorrow (Thursday). Not sure how long it will take to get it fixed, but...

...when the computer is operational, my wife has promised several new updates along with pictures since Madie continues to grow every day. In fact, she had a doctor appointment yesterday and we found out that our little girl is in the upper 90th percentile in both height and weight. Not bad considering that when we brought her home from the hospital just 9 weeks ago, she was in the 20th percentile for weight.

Talk to you soon!

A good day.

I'm missing some photos from our Saturday out on the town, but I was still able to accurately photodocument our day.

Our day started like this: wake up at 7:30, walk the dog. No photo to show that, but it was a brisk autumn morning in Minnesota today. Fall colors were at their peak and it was very tranquil out there today.

Following our walk, we collected ourselves and drove to St. Thomas University to watch our alma mater (St. John's) play football. Again, the weather couldn't have been more beautiful. It wasn't until we were leaving that I realized I didn't have the camera to take any photos. Well, obviously the Johnnies beat the Tommies.

We then went to grab a bite to eat at a local pub where they happen to serve beer in Mason jars.

During dinner, we were asked to participate in their meat raffle. This has to be one of the perks to living in Prior Lake/Savage and dining at a townie bar called "TJ Holligans". So, we lined up our chances. We purchased 6 tickets thinking that we had a few spins left....that wasn't the case. One spin and none of our numbers were called. Madeline was so frustrated (as you can see from the photo) that she decided to just take a nap.

I would have too, but the beer was too refreshing!

When we left we came back home so Madeline could play with her "friends" on her play mat.

And we found Jersey napping....hilarious.

After all this, it was time for a bath. She certainly calms down when she's in the tub, unfortunately we can't just leave her there for hours! In a nutshell, a busy but wonderful afternoon.

A few shots.

A few shots of Madie from the other day...I was trying to capture her super cute smile, but all I seemed to get were these. Soon she'll smile big for the camera!

Madie's Big Day

Madeline had a big day on Thursday. We started the day with a trip to Sponsel's Apple Orchard in Jordan, aka, Minnesota Harvest. There we (John and I) shared carmel apples and an apple turnover fresh from the oven....Mmmmm. Then we took Madie out to look at the horses. John tried to feed the horses an apple and that made the other horses jealous, so we decided it was best to remove ourselves from that area for a while. Then we hopped on a tractor pull and went for a ride into the orchard. Although overcast, we were able to see some beautiful fall colors and of course, apples, apples and more apples. After we finished up there, we decided to make a stop to pick up our pumpkins. 4 total. One for mom and dad, Jersey and of course, Madeline. All in all, a pretty good day.

Baptism.

Madeline was baptized yesterday. We decided to sit in the crying room at church because we thought we would have an episode for sure.....but she was amazing. We're starting to find that she is on her best behavior in crowded and noisy places. At least we know we can go out with her and not be too concerned with being that couple with the screaming child. It was a great day. We are very proud of our little lovey.
